…I used my creativity to imagine new worlds and places where I could belong. Despite growing up in a big family, I spent a lot of time alone believing I couldn’t find friends who shared my interests. This prevented me from learning how to socialize and how to be my authentic self around others.

As a little girl, I was constantly cutting, gluing, and eventually sewing. My confidence slowly grew, and I followed my creative passion to study fashion and pursue a successful design career. My journey to finding my voice and the confidence to share it was filled with twists, turns, and a ton of self-doubt but also with an unwavering sense of compassion for my younger self.

I became a Wellness Coach, learning the blocks that were holding me back from expressing myself and accepting myself. As a coach, I witnessed clients unwilling to recognize roadblocks holding them back, much like I had. Many of these blocks stem from practice behavior in our youth and require rewiring – something more difficult to do as an adult. It was then I realized, how important it is to start with our youth who simply need a little extra encouragement to love and be themselves.

BR Buddies was created with the belief that we can learn to express ourselves through play and imagination when given a trusting source to talk to. We then take that learning out into the world with greater confidence in ourselves to socialize, be authentic and self-loving, and have compassion for others.
